- Small group. Fewer riders mean better service and a more intimate experience. This tour limited to just ten (10) riders.
- Convenience. We know that the Colorado Rockies are high on the list of those who want to get off-road so we’ve designed a seamless itinerary that gets you right into the heart of the best riding. We’ve designed it to fit into one a one-week period and we have expedition-ready rental motorcycles that are ready to take on the Rockies. With a growing list of flight options into Grand Junction, flying in is easier than ever.
- The route. Some of the most spectacular scenery in the Americas is found on this U.S.A. Back Road Safari. By design our pace is moderate and challenges come at you in small doses. We’ve planned the itinerary to incorporate sections of the Continental Divide as well as the Colorado Backcountry Discovery Route (COBDR).
- Support. We have your back when riding the backcountry. A 4X4 chase vehicle to handle your luggage, mechanical issues and deal with emergencies.

Our Moab Immersion Training is designed for ANY LEVEL OF RIDER who has the desire to travel beyond the pavement and wishes to improve the important fundamentals required to ride
Our Moab Immersion Training is designed for ANY LEVEL OF RIDER who has the desire to travel beyond the pavement and wishes to improve the important fundamentals required to ride in a variety of off-road conditions. Because this is a small-group training, all levels of riders are welcome to attend and will gain valuable skills regardless of off-road experience.
The nature of this event demands a dual-sport, street-legal motorcycle equipped with proper tires. This event is well suited for dual-sport motorcycles in the 250-650cc range. You should already know how to ride and have substantial pavement riding experience.
Moab Immersion Training is part of our U.S.A. Backroads Safari series and consists of personalized adventure rider training and scenic touring on some of the best paved and off-pavement roads in the Southwest. This event is limited to just 10 motorcycles. The ride consists of both paved and off-pavement roads of varying degrees of technicality and has several options that can be adjusted to meet the personal level of challenge desired.
Rider training. There are a handful of decent training opportunities out there for introducing you to the world of adventure motorcycle touring. A weekend of coaching will certainly be of benefit. But if you really want the training to become planted, you must apply those newly learned skills. Immersion Training is the answer – and you will marvel at the results.
Even experienced riders who have developed less-than-perfect riding habits can benefit. And because the groups are small (limited to just 10 participants), you can count on getting plenty of one-on-one low-pressure coaching allowing you to progress at your own pace.
If you think this Moab Adventure Training is all about the classroom, you’ll think differently as you ride the wondrous desert terrain and with each day feel your confidence build and your enjoyment soar. You will gradually ride more relaxed, becoming one with your motorcycle as we train each day of the event in different environments. What was once white-knuckle will gradually transition to exhilarating, confident touring. That is our goal.
So if you have the desire and the dream of taking on the exotic corners of our planet, a MotoDiscovery training event is the best place to begin. Again, applying those skills by combining training with a tour will give you the best results. The thrilling Copper Canyon, the wilds of the Patagonia, the highest passes of the Himalayas and seeing the condors flying high over the Andes are next. We’ll take you there, too.
Call us today or send an e-mail with your questions. Let the adventure begin!

Dual Sport 101 Route
This route that is suitable for those who desire to develop skills without the pressure to keep-up with the pack. Before the ride starts we will discuss, gps, trail etiquette, tire pressure, etc. Group leaders will join the ride and provide assistance. It will be a trail ride with frequent stops at new obstacles where we will discuss how to ride them. Obstacles such as deep sand, mud, ruts, tree roots, rocks, etc. The ride will be shorter due to the slower pace. Lunch stop will be at a spot different from the other routes. Men and women and all ages are invited. Sunday’s route will be the standard Dual Sport route when you can opt-in or opt-out of the more challenging single-track sections.
Dual Sport Route
Dual Sport is a type of motorcycle riding which is a mix of off road trails connected with the use of roads. Trails are used with permission and/or permits through the USFS, County forests, and private landowners. Trails range from 2 track, gravel, minimal pavement (as little as we can), and single track sections that are optional- Saturday’s route is usually about 130 miles and Sunday’s route is usually about 80 miles (though miles and routes change often yearly). The motorcycles are street legal motorcycles that are fully off road capable.
This is for 1090R, GS1200, GS800, V-Strom, Super Tenere, Tiger, KLR650 and similar larger bikes. The route involves plenty of 4wd roads miles to develop new skills plus sandy roads, gravel roads and very little asphalt. This ride will contain more challenging hero type off-road sections based upon rider input from previous events. Saturday’s route is usually ~175 miles and Sunday’s route is usually ~100 miles. Suitable off-road tires are required!
This event is held in Wabeno, WI. Includes:
• Saturday lunch and dinner and Sunday breakfast
• Paper Roll Chart and/or .gpx tracks
• Event T-shirt
• Free on premise camping with NEW showers. No reservations. Limited hook-ups but we make space for all.

Join us in Llano Texas for the only overland event in Texas and the largest in the central United States. Each year we seek to serve the fastest growing overland community in the US. What we provide is a centralized place for the overland enthusiast to come and see some of the latest overland products available, talk with amazing vendors and representatives, become more educated in necessary skills, and to meet and visit with scores of like minded people. While there are other options available out there, what makes us unique is that we are seeking to not just show you products but to instead foster and grow this amazing overland community. We are a family friendly, smaller and more intimate version of some of the bigger trade shows out there, all in the heart of Texas. So what you can you expect to find at the Outdoor Expo? We offer the opportunity to camp out the entire weekend at a reasonable cost, meet and chat with top notch vendors, put your hands on some of the cutting edge products available to the overland community, take classes and watch presentations on things like navigation, first aid, recovery and other necessary skills. Additionally, you will get the opportunity to be part of a very special community that is growing here in Texas. We have long partnered with the folks over at Texas Overland and one need only spend some time around this group of fellow travelers to see that something great is happening here in Texas. We are part of the larger overland community, but add our own bit of spice to the pot.
We keep mentioning community because it is important to us. Another important phrase is family. We strive to provide an event that is entertaining and positive for the entire family. We host community bonding events like cast iron cookoffs, gear swaps, mappy hour, kids games and activities and movie night to make sure that the entire family is engaged. A new feature this year will be a family only area for camping that is geared to provided campers a quiet place to lay their heads each night without impeding on the night owls. We understand that at the end of the day it isn’t about the cool rig, latest equipment, or patches on the ceiling (although all of that is nice!) but instead is about the memories you make when pursuing this rewarding lifestyle.
So mark you calendars and make plans to come down to Llano Texas and take part in one of the most special events in the US. Come experience some Texas hospitality in the beautiful Texas hill country and remember to always #LiveLifeOutside!
